Prof. Andrew Fellows comes to the University of Maryland College of Information Studies as the Director of the Campus Community Connections after decades of experience in non-profit advocacy, local government, and grassroots community development. He is also the Program Manager for the Community Outreach Program at the University of Maryland.

Andy’s previous appointments also include the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ Water Council, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s Board of Directors, the Chesapeake Bay and Water Resources Policy Committee, the Transportation Planning Board, and the Maryland Commission on Environmental Justice and Sustainable Communities.

Andy’s passion for and experience in community organization is a great asset to the College of Information Studies’ work in understanding and developing information systems and technology that create smart and connected communities. Andy is also affiliated with the National Center for Smart Growth.
